Frances C. Fox

Frances Cecila Fox (née Gapczynski), born on February 17, 1929, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026. She was most recently a resident of Woodbury Mews.

Frances was born and raised in South Philadelphia, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and community. For many years, she faithfully attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, a place that remained important to her throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, trips to her vacation home in Wildwood, and socializing with friends at the Quaker City String Band clubhouse. She also had a fondness for shopping and enjoying meals at local diners.

She was predeceased by her siblings and by her first husband, Joseph P. Clark and her second husband, William R. Fox.

Frances is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, who will remember her with affection and gratitude.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 2319 S. Third St. Philadelphia, PA, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA.
