Samuel Paul Dunlap

Samuel Paul Dunlap passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 89. 

Born on January 9, 1937, in Philadelphia. He grew up in south Philly, He graduated from South East Catholic High-school. He then went on to serve 2 years in the United States Army. Followed by 30 years at the Philadelphia Police Department and 20 years as a Private Investigator for Geico. After finally retiring his time was best spent loving and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Samuel is the beloved husband of the late Joan Dorothy Dunlap (Donnelly) and loving father of Dottie Slobodrian(Steve), Joan Heenan, and Suzanne Shenko(Joe) He is the devoted Pop of Nicole, Brionna, Erica, Jacquelyn, Anjolina and Ryan. Proud great grandpop of Lucas, Harper, Ava and William. 

Samuel was also the loving brother of Nancy Marone(Joe) and was lovingly known as Uncle Paul to several nieces and nephews.

Samuel is Predeceased by his Wife Joan, His parents Charles Dunlap Sr. and Anna (Sankey), and his brothers Charles Dunlap Jr. and Robert Dunlap.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM at St. Anselm Church, 12650 Dunks Ferry Road, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. The Rite of Committal will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
