Kathleen P. Grassia
On Saturday, March 2nd, surrounded by family and while receiving the last sacraments, Kathleen P. Grassia went to her eternal home. The daughter of Thomas Boyle and Sophie Duch, beloved wife of John R. Grassia. Mother to John, Thomas, Michael, Kenneth, Kathleen, as well as every child in every neighborhood in which she lived.
Grandmother of Thomas, Sean, Sophia, Lilian, Michael, Kaiden, and Colin. She was an active member of St. Philip Neri parish, as were her parents before her. A graduate of St. Maria Goretti high school, she loved to cook, argue, watch over her family and know the details of everyone’s lives on her block.
She will be missed. She was loved by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing and funeral Friday, 8-10 am at St. Philip Neri Church, followed by mass at 10 am. Interment at Locustwood cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.

I will forever cherish my childhood memories in the Grassia house. Aunt Kath always made sure we felt welcome in her home. I consider myself a lucky girl who had carefree summers of swimming all day, riding our bikes outside, jumping on the trampoline, sleepovers, and with Aunt Kath always making us laugh in between. She was the absolute best… a bonus Mom.
Thank you Aunt Kath for giving us kids wonderful memories and for being a loyal and enduring friend to both my parents. I know you’ll continue to watch over all of us from heaven.
She was a wonderful neighbor. Going to miss hearing her yelling Hi Hon to everyone walking by. Rest in peace with John and little Louie.
